PM Narendra Modi to attend three-day DGP conference in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Nov 13: PM Narendra Modi is expected to attend the three-day all-India conference of Directors General of Police (DGPs) in Bhubaneswar, scheduled to begin on November 29. The conference will be held at the convention centre of Lok Seva Bhawan and is also likely to be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, according to Odisha DGP Y B Khurania.
The event will see participation from DGPs of all states, the Director General of CRPF, as well as the heads of RAW, NSA, and SPG. It will conclude on December 1 after discussions on various crucial security-related issues.
Key topics for discussion include cybercrime, challenges posed by artificial intelligence, the latest drone threats, and counter-terrorism efforts. The conference is expected to focus on a wide range of issues such as emerging trends in militancy, the role of the dark web in terror financing, drug trafficking, hybrid militancy in Jammu & Kashmir, and the use of virtual assets and cryptocurrency in terrorism.
